"I can only thank my parents."

My father ran a printing company in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture. He was normally a quiet person, but would quickly start talking to people and telling jokes. He was clumsy, clumsy, kind, and timid. My mother was a very cheerful person, friendly and gentle, but also quite strong-willed. Her strength of will can sometimes be frowned upon, but even as her son, I can see that my mother's strength and cheerfulness must have been a great help to my father, who was selfish, proud, and timid.

From a young age, I only thought about myself, had a baseless confidence, and had no thought for the future. I was a prodigal son who relied on my parents. Many people told me how forgiving my parents were, but at the time, I didn't get it at all. Of course, I understand now that my parents let me be free without interfering with me. I'm sure they must have had to endure a lot.

Then, in the year I turned 30, my father's company went bankrupt and I lost the support I needed. It's embarrassing, but I had to support myself for the first time at that age, and although it seems like I was spoiled, I remember feeling quite hopeless. I looked for a job, stayed with a friend, and slowly started a new life. At the same time, I faced my inner self for the first time and began to look deeply at things I had been avoiding. I also realized that it was all thanks to my parents that I had been able to do what I wanted up until then.

I still feel this way, and I have nothing but gratitude for my parents. My father ran the company with my mother for 36 years. There were good times, but I think most of the time it was a series of hardships. He never showed any sign of that, and gave me plenty of freedom.

I don't know if it's true, but I heard that our company was the first to install Macintosh computers in Toyohashi City. I remember that there was a colorful apple sticker on the office when I was a child. For some reason, I remembered that colorful apple at this timing. My dad was pretty cool too. I decided to start the story with the apple mark.

I decided to create an apple in monochrome, so that I could add color from scratch. I'm excited to see how colorful the apple will become.

production

Luckily, there was one apple left in the fridge, so I used it as a motif and made a bitten apple out of clay. I lit it, took a photo with my iPhone, which is well known for its apple logo, and printed it on a T-shirt. I also carved a block to make a woodblock print of the information to be distributed, and the printed prints all had different expressions, which I found very interesting when lined up, so I used that for the design on the back of the T-shirt. I know I say it myself, but I think it turned out to be a pretty stylish T-shirt. If you'd like, please check it out by scanning the QR code. I also took a video of the production process with my iPhone, which is well known for its apple logo, so please take a look at that as well.
